Louis "Goodnight" Gaudinot submitted John Lineker in a Fight of the Night bout early in Lineker's UFC career. Fighting out of Yonkers, New York with a Tiger Schulmann karate background, Gaudinot built his game around forward striking and front chokes, reflected in an 80 Cardio and 74 Boxing.

Gaudinot earned Fight of the Night honors at UFC on Fox 3 in May 2012 by submitting John Lineker with a second-round guillotine choke. After an extended layoff in 2013, he dropped a unanimous decision to Tim Elliott at UFC 164 in Milwaukee. His forward boxing and submission threats on the feet are reflected in his 74 Boxing and 76 Cardio.
In 2014, Gaudinot submitted Phil Harris via guillotine choke at UFC Fight Night 37 in London, a result later overturned to a no contest, and in January 2015 dropped a decision to Kyoji Horiguchi at UFC 182.
