Boxing at 86 and a pace nobody else kept
Five UFC wins in 210 days in 2020 is the fastest run to five in a calendar year. Four of those wins were stoppages: Hernandez in round one, Buckley, Ontiveros and Souza. Three earned Performance of the Night. Holland also took the Marvin Vettori fight on short notice in April 2021 in place of Darren Till, and signed a new multi-fight deal afterward.
Wrestling at 74 and the losses to elite grapplers
Chimaev, de Ridder and Allen all submitted him. Brunson, Vettori, Della Maddalena, Page, Rodriguez and Malott took decisions. The Daukaus fight in October 2021 was ruled a no contest after an accidental clash of heads. Roman Dolidze won by corner stoppage in round one at UFC 307. A fighter who can wrestle him cleanly has the best plan.
